![]() ![]() If you enjoy adventure and fantasy, this second instalment of The Keepers trilogy will not fail to please. ![]() The Keepers Trilogy: Museum of Thieves (2010), City of Lies (2011) & Path of. ![]() The colourful imagery of the costumes, and the city of Stoke, make this an intriguing read. Lian Tanner has worked as a teacher, a tourist bus driver, a juggler. The wonderful array of characters, including thieving street children, a convict marching band, inept child-stealers, and animals that are almost human-like (such as mothering mice!), made this voyage all the more satisfying. The return of the Fugleman and his underlying ambitions, the mystery of the infamous Harrow, and the promise of characters being swept up in the mystique of a ‘Big Lie’, left me enchanted! There are plenty of twists and turns to keep one guessing! Goldie must access all her skills as liar and thief to survive through the festival and rescue her friends. Stoke is an odd city, where everything said is twisted into a lie, and no one can be trusted. During her journey to the Museum, Goldie finds her friends Toadspit and Bonnie whisked away by kidnappers, and so begins her adventure in Stoke, where the Festival of Lies is about to begin. ![]()
